This policy applies only to the Truth or Dare: Houseparty Game app for Android (the “App”). MindBlows’ other apps are covered by our general MindBlows Privacy Policy. The App’s terms are at mindblows.com/terms.

Summary

  • The App has no accounts and no server of ours. It does not ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, location, photos, camera or microphone.
  • The player names and custom cards you type, your settings and your purchases stay on your device.
  • The App uses Google services for advertising (Google AdMob), analytics and crash reports (Firebase) and purchases (Google Play Billing). These services collect the technical data described below.

Information stored on your device

These are saved in the App’s private storage on your device and are not sent to us:

  • Player names and colors, custom cards you create, the selected deck and bottle, and the sound, music and “speak tasks” settings.
  • Which decks you have unlocked and your progress (for example how many free cards you have used on a deck).

If Android Auto Backup is enabled on your device, Android may back this data up to your Google account under Google’s own terms.

Information collected through Google services

Firebase Analytics (Google)

Used to understand how the App is used so we can improve it. Collects app events (for example: a card was drawn, a deck was opened, a purchase was started or completed, an ad was shown), an app instance ID, device model, operating system version, app version, language, approximate country (from the IP address), and session and engagement data.

Firebase Crashlytics (Google)

Used to find and fix crashes and errors. Collects crash and error logs, stack traces, device model, operating system version, memory and storage state, app version and a random installation ID.

Google AdMob (Google)

Used to show banner, interstitial and rewarded video ads that pay for the free App. Collects the advertising ID, IP address, device information and ad-interaction information and, where you consent, data used to personalize ads.

Google User Messaging Platform

Used to ask for and store your advertising consent choices where required (for example in the EEA and UK).

Google Play Billing

Used to process purchases and the subscription. We receive the purchase status of the App’s products and a purchase token. Payment details are handled by Google Play and are never visible to us.

The App also uses Android’s built-in text-to-speech to read cards aloud if you turn “speak tasks” on. This is handled by the speech engine on your device. The App can ask Google Play to show its in-app review prompt.

The App requests only these Android permissions: Internet, network state, Google Play Billing, the advertising ID, and the ad-services permissions that Google’s advertising library adds.

How we use information

  • To operate the App, provide purchases and unlock the content you bought.
  • To show ads and measure their performance.
  • To analyze usage, fix crashes and improve the App.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse and to meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for anything unrelated to the App.

Sharing

We do not operate servers that store your data. Information is shared only with the Google services listed above, which process it under their own privacy policies:

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

Your choices and rights

  • Ad personalization and advertising ID: in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads you can delete your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization (Google help).
  • Consent (EEA, UK): you are asked for your advertising choices on first launch where required.
  • Delete local data: clear the App’s storage in Android Settings → Apps → Truth or Dare, or uninstall the App.
  • Remove ads: the “Remove Ads” button in the App’s settings is a paid option that removes banner and interstitial ads.
  • Access, correction, deletion, objection: depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA) you may have these rights. Email hello@mindblows.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Because we hold no account data, we may ask for your advertising ID or app instance ID to find your analytics data. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Data retention

Local data stays on your device until you delete it. Analytics, crash and advertising data are kept by Google according to the retention settings configured in Firebase and AdMob and Google’s policies; we do not keep copies on our own servers.

International transfers

Google processes data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on Google’s standard contractual clauses and other lawful safeguards.

Children

The App is a party game and some decks contain adult-themed content. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the age required in your country). If you believe a child has provided information, contact hello@mindblows.com and we will help have it removed.

Security

Data is sent to Google services over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, which is why we collect only what the App needs.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version. Substantial changes will be posted on this page.
